The Borromeo String Quartet, Cape May
United Methodist Church, 635 Washington St.,
Cape May.
Nicholas Kitchen and Kristopher Tong,
Violins, Mai Motobuchi, Viola; Yeesun Kim,
Cello. Internationally acclaimed string
quartet in residence at the New England
Conservatory of Music as well as Dai-Ichi
Semei Hall in Toyko, and in its third season
in residence at the famed Taos School of
Music in New Mexico. The Borromeo is one of
the most sought after of string quartets
performing over 100 concerts of classical
and contemporary literature across three
continents each season.
August 15th. Wednesday 7 p.m. Dr.
Laura Mann. Opera-tunity. First United
Methodist Church of Avalon. 34th St.,
Avalon. Mann performs at the Kennedy Center,
the National Cathedral, and is a recipient
of Rockefeller Foundation and Fulbright
grants and has been heard on National Public
Radio. She has soloed with the Berlin
Philharmonic,
Swiss Chamber Orchestra, Prague Chamber
Ensemble, Rochester and Buffalo
Philharmonics, Richmond and Asheville
Symphonies and the Dallas Baroque Ensemble.
She sings repertoire in 8 languages.
August 25th. Saturday. 8 p.m.

strings, Juilliard MM piano. Musicians
perform on three continents.
September 8th, Saturday. 7 p.m. Duo
Fresco. Christopher Kenniff, Classical
Guitar, Brett Deubner, viola. Both musicians
are on the faculty at Kean College;
Christopher was first in his class at
Southern Methodist University, summa cum
laude at Indiana University where he
obtained a doctorate in performance. Brett
is a member of the New Jersey Symphony
Orchestra and performs with many chamber
ensembles.
September 28th. Musical Evening
Soiree/ Dock Party at the home of Dr. and
Mrs. Leonard Giordano, 86th St., Stone
Harbor. Live music, wine, hors d’ouevres.
